Dear Family:
I am sorry to hear of Larry's passing. I had the priilege of working with him in the mathematics department at the Ballston Spa High School for 28 years. In our joint efforts, we tried to bring quality education to the youth of our community. His role model as a teacher and as a loving family man served as a great example to the people who knew him.
My condolences go out to all of you.

"Mr." DeLaurie was a basketball and football coach, and mathematics teacher for me and I have many memories of his teachings. He pointed out that I would be a better basketball player if I wore the glasses that I needed while playing, so that I could actually see the basket.
He was correct.
