Obituary of Irene May Lapp

Malta, NY Irene Goodrich Lapp 88 passed away on August 6 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Melrose, MA to the late Albert and Hattie Goodrich. Irene joined the Navy in 1943 where she met her husband Edward Lapp. After her honorable discharge from the Navy, Irene resided in Leroy, NY and worked for the Jello plant. In 1963 she moved to Ballston Spa and was primarily a homemaker and worked part time at the Village Florist and Vita Mart. She was also predeceased by her brothers Henry, Frank and Allen Goodrich, her sons Stephen Lapp and Lt. Colonel Gerald Lapp Survivors include her husband of 66 years Edward C. Lapp, son William (Theresa) Lapp, daughter Victoria (Eugene) Hickok, daughter-in-law Lee Lapp (Gerald), 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren Committal service with full military honors will be on Friday September 9, 2011at 12:00 PM at Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of one's choice.
