Paul died at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, August 13, 2011.
He was born in Saratoga Springs at what is now known as the Washington Inn on Broadway. He was the son of the late Paul J. and Beatrice Edmonson Ebert
Paul also served in the Navy on the U.S.S. Balch during World War II.
While living in Norfolk, VA for several years, he opened a trucking business and he supervised a ship salvage business in Chesapeake Bay. Upon returning to New York, he was employed at General Electric while building Ebert's Mobile Home Park and Rowland Street Garage which is now operated by his sons Bill and Fred
He was predeceased by his sisters Florence Snyder, Geraldine Nicklaw and Verna Albanese, his brothers Richard and Anthony Ebert, his first wife Alice Smith Ebert
Survivors include his wife Phyllis Pfizenmayer Ebert, his children Paul (Carol) Ebert, Marsha (Dr. Robert) Scotti, William (Kathy) Ebert, Fred (Bonnie) Ebert, Christina (Thomas) Harran, his stepdaughters Carrie Briggs, Cindy Corcoran, Carolyn Hampton, eight grandchildren, ten step-grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins
Calling Hours will be Tuesday August 16, 2011 from 3:00 PM to 8:00PM at Mevec Funeral Home
Services will be on Wednesday August 17, 2011 at 8:30 AM at Mevec Funeral Home, 224 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at St. Mary's Church, 167 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa.
Committal service with military honors will follow at Galway Village Cemetery.
