Town of Malta, NY William R. Otting 69 Bill died on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Saratoga Hospital. He was born in Flushing, NY. He was the son of the late George and Charlotte Knabe Otting. He was a Bus Maintainer for the New York City Transit Authority. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Bill was a member of and Paymaster for the Marine Corps League Spa Detachment and a member of the Devil Dogs Honor Society. Survivors include his beloved wife of 50 years Kathleen Tyrian Otting, his loving daughters: Theresa (Mike) Dell'Anno and Julie (John) Phelps both of Clifton Park. He was devoted to his grandchildren, Billy, Patrick, Tommy, Catherine and Timmy. Services will be on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 8:30 am at Mevec Funeral Home, 224 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am at St. Mary's Church, 167 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa. Committal service with full military honors will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, February 22 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Mevec Funeral Home.
