Obituary of Joan M. Mattrazzo

BALLSTON SPA, NY Joan M. Mattrazzo, 69, a lifelong resident of Ballston Spa, died suddenly on Monday, October 25, 2010 at Saratoga Hospital. She was born January 16, 1941 and was the daughter of the late Henry and Ida Pastore Janczak. Along with her husband Anthony, Joan was co-owner of Sonny's Market/Beverage Center in Ballston Spa from 1970 until their retirement in 2004. She was a beloved wife and mother, member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ballston Spa, and an avid dog lover. Survivors include her husband of fifty-one years Anthony "Sonny" Mattrazzo; daughter Rhonda Mattrazzo of Ballston Lake; sons Anthony Mattrazzo, III of Albany and James and his wife Ellen Mattrazzo of Ballston Spa; brother Michael Janczak of Ballston Spa; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins Services will be on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 8:30 am at Mevec Funeral Home, 224 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am at St. Mary's Church, 167 Milton Avenue.
