Jerome Albert Buell (Age 85)

Jerry passed away peacefully on November 8th, 2024, with family members present.

Born December 3rd, 1938, in Hallstead PA to Nellie and Robert Buell. Jerry married the love of his life, Retta on September 13, 1963.

He proudly served and is a veteran of the US Army and the US Army Reserve. He entered the Insurance industry early in his career, and later became the successful owner of the Schuylerville Insurance Agency. Jerry believed in a life of service to others and was a Charter member of the St. Therese Chapel Knights of Columbus. Jerry was also a devoted the St. Therese Chapel Community and served various roles for the Church over the years.

He was pre-deceased by brothers William, Gerald (Shirley), Dave (Joan), his twin brother Jim (Eileen), his sister's in-law Irene, Penny, Marcia, and nieces Deborah and Laurie.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Retta, His children Kathleen, Michael (Lisa), Kristene (Christopher Schwantner), Karen (Richard Anderson), Kevin and Mark, his grandchildren Sarah, Matthew, Nathan, Samantha, Kelsie, Luke, Austin (Gianna), Declan (Samantha), Dylan Aidan, Peyton, Derrick and Tyler, his great grandchildren Finnegan and Isla, his brothers Charles, Leo, Harold (Corinna), Herb, Don (Doreen), and sisters Rose (Ron) and Betty (George) along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The viewing will be held at the Wilton Funeral Home 395 Ballard Rd, Wilton NY 12831 on Wednesday November 13th from 4pm to 7pm. The Funeral Service will be held at 10am on Thursday November 14th at St. Therese Chapel 1 Wilton Gansevoort Rd, Gansevoort NY 12831. Interment will be held at the Gansevoort Cemetery. All are welcome to join the family to celebrate Jerry's Life at the St. Therese Chapel Church Hall immediately following the services.
