Obituary of Dorothy "Dot" Antinore

Please share a memory of Dorothy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Dorothy I. Antinore (1930-2024), lovingly known as Dot to all, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2024, after a brief illness. Dot was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, neighbor and friend. Everyone who knew her, loved her. Dot, a Batavia native, met her love, Vince and together they raised 4 children: the lights of her life. Dot lived the majority of her life as a Ballston Spa resident and touched the lives of many around town at the various jobs she had, especially as a cherished babysitter. She was a hard worker! She loved gathering her family together on Sundays for "Sunday dinner" with her delicious homemade sauce and never to be replicated salad dressing. Dot, known as Nani to her grandchildren and great grandchildren took so much joy in being a devoted grandmother. She was always present in her grandchildren's lives, cheering them on in their endeavors. In her later years, she showed the same joy watching her adored great grandchildren grow up. Dot is predeceased by her husband, Vincent Antinore, her mother, Gladys Natoli, her brother, Bob Defreze, her brother-in-laws, Charles Antinore and Vito D'Agostino, her son-in-law, Jeff Manning and her great granddaughter, Kaitlin Bowman. Dot is survived by her children Pattie Gabree (James), Mary Ann Manning (John Baker), Chuck Antinore (Lynne), and Jim Antinore (Cathy). She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Calling hours to honor and remember Dot's beautiful soul, will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd from 6-8 PM at Mevec Funeral Home in Ballston Spa. A funeral mass for family and friends will be held at St. Mary's Church, Ballston Spa on Thursday, October 3rd at 9:30 AM. Dot's family would like to say THANK YOU to the staff at Schuyler Ridge for their exceptional and compassionate care. The care she received while living there put peace in their hearts. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Schuyler Ridge Residential Healthcare in Clifton Park, 1 Abele Rd, Clifton Park 12065.
