Obituary of Patricia Jane Hiltsley

Ballston Spa, NY PATRICIA JANE HILTSLEY Patricia Jane Hiltsley passed away peacefully on May 12, 2024. She was born in Lodi, CA to Beatrice (Glenn) and William Bhader on January 12, 1951. Survivors include her sons Edward Abraham Hiltsley and Craig William Hiltsley, her siblings William (Linda) Bhader, Pamela Bhader, and Charlene Bhader, and several nieces and nephews. San Francisco is where she met her future husband, Edward Hiltsley, and their journey to New York was soon thereafter. After living in Potsdam, NY for a brief time, it was the quaint village of Ballston Spa, NY, where she and Ed held a deep appreciation for the community, and they planted their family roots. Cooking, baking, and music were the cornerstones of her kitchen where you would often find her listening to U2. Her famous Afghan Stew, Baklava, and Chocolate Chip Cookies will remain cherished memories. Patricia held several positions in the community from a retail clerk to working in the kitchen as an aide at the Adelphi Hotel. She had an unwavering soft spot for animals, the public library, the Salvation Army, and a good cup of coffee. As a true native of California, she was a devoted San Francisco 49ers fan. A proud-beloved mother to her two sons, Edward Abraham Hiltsley and Craig William Hiltsley, she found solace and joy. It is here with Edward and Craig that her loving motherly traits of an avid reader, the most thoughtful gift giver, a great storyteller, and to be supportive of others, will be thought of often and continued throughout their life's journey. Committal Service will be on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, 2:00 PM at Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, New York.
