Obituary of Margaret Mary Thomas

Ballston Spa, NY Margaret Mary Keyes-Thomas Margaret Mary Keyes-Thomas passed away peacefully on July 8, 2023 after a brief illness. Born on May 18, 1949, and raised in Ballston Spa, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Keyes. Margaret graduated in 1967 from Ballston Spa High School, she was also a graduate of Albany Business College and Mildred Elley. After which she worked for New York State Government Offices. Margaret married Adam Thomas on April 23, 1983 and was happily married for 16 years until his death in 1999. She was an avid fan of the Welsh singer Tom Jones and in addition to being a member of his fan club, she also attended numerous concerts of his here in the United States. Margaret was a life-long parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Ballston Spa and a devout Catholic. She is survived by long-time friend Joyce Ellsworth and her family, including her beloved god-daughter, Charlene Ellsworth-Reed, who was like a daughter to her. She is also survived by many cherished friends and family members. Graveside services will be on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 11:30 am at Ballston Spa Cemetery, Garrett Road Entrance, Ballston Spa.
