February 26, 1968- May 16, 2022
Mom loved to go camping, loved going to Rowland street and pick walnuts and hazelnuts, she loved the ocean, fishing sunbathing, raw hamburger meat, she loved Christmas, decorating for it and watching Christmas movies. She loved her romance novels. Mom loved to joke around and pick on People to make them laugh. A few of her sayings were "go to bed!' "Yeahhhh". Mom was a fighter she never let her cancer affect her mood. She believed she was going to beat it and she did an amazing job trying. She was never a big drinker, but she loved talking about her Alabama slammers and her Sex on the beach drinks. She also lovvveedddd scary movies!! She would turn to you during a scary scene and scare you! She loved her grandchildren more than anyone ever knew. She would always point out wild strawberries when she saw them. Her favorite flowers are lillies of the valley. She had little quarks about her ie. Only drank out of plastic cups, always had to have either slippers or shoes on (never walked barefoot) her favorite football team was the 49ers! She would get so excited if they made it to the super bowl ("IF") she loved country music. Another thing with her grandchildren she always did - she would push her children's buttons by giving her grandchildren something they shouldn't have or that would make a huge mess ie: Chocolate - candy etc. And she would think it was so funny. Another thing about Mom if anyone called her and told her someone was sick her response everytime would be "it's going around " it never failed.
She was just a real loving genuine person. She lived life. She wanted to live. She fought as hard as she could for her grandchildren. Mom was the person if you were standing close to a pool (in ground) and she walked past you, she would push you in! She loved to joke and play around
Carol is survived by her daughters Jamie Shelley, Trish Shelley, her sons Steven Shelley and Joseph Shelley, her mother Linda Lou Williams Eldridge, her sisters Sandra Lange, Chrissy Nowhitney, Bonnie Britten, her brother- Donald Petteys and 11 grandchildren.
