Alice M. Barrett 80 Alice passed away peacefully at Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs on Sunday, November 22, 2009. She was born in Albany, NY. She was the daughter of the late Elmer and Theodora Hilfrank Nightengale. She worked as a Bookkeeper for New York Business Development Corporation and Spa Window and Remodeling in Ballston Spa. Alice was a member of Ballston Spa Elks Lodge #2619, Ladies Auxilliary. Alice was secretary to former Town of Milton Justice Caroline Eldridge. These words best describe Alice: dynamic, witty, self-assured, lively, world traveler, well read, intelligent, tenacious, spontaneous, generous, loyal and loving. Alice had a very big heart and cherished good times spent with family and friends. Now she is with God in heaven and is at peace. She will be dearly missed but her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who love her. She was predeceased by her brother, William Nightengale. Survivors include her daughter Sharon (Kim) Cooke of Ballston Spa, her sons: David (Francine) Barrett of Killeen, TX. William Barrett of Ballston Spa, NY; her sister: Cornelia Zube of Clewiston, FL; Her grandchildren David Barrett, Jr, Miranda Cormier, Jamee Guffey, Brendan Barrett, William Barrett, Bethany Barrett, Nikki Cooke, Katherine Cooke, Joseph Stapleton, John Stapleton 7 great grandchildren several nieces, nephews and several grandpuppies.
