Edward died on Monday, October 8, 2018.


He was born in Batavia, NY. He was the son of the late Joseph and Helen Lapp.


He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.



He worked as a Pressman for General Foods, Saratoga Springs.




He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.


Ed was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Ballston Spa.


He was an avid deer hunter.


The last three and half years, Ed was in the loving care of the Home of The Good Shepherd.



He was predeceased his wife Irene May Lapp who died on August 6, 2011, his brother Gerald Lapp, his sister, Dorothy O'Malley, his sons Stephen Lapp and LT. Colonel Gerald Lapp


Ed is survived by his children William (Theresa) Lapp, Victoria Hickok, his daughter in law, Lee Lapp (Gerald), his brothers Robert, Donald, Michael Lapp, Three grandchildren, Four great grandchildren, Several nieces and nephews.


Committal service with full military honors will at a later date at Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery.


The family suggests memorial contributions in Ed's name be made to The Community Hospice, Foundation And Central Offices, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144
