Obituary of Irene A. Kane

Wilton, NY: Irene A. Kane, formerly of Traver Road, passed away on Thursday, August 16th at the age of 77, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 9, 1940 in Saratoga Springs, she was predeceased by her beloved husband of 37 years Kenneth J. Kane, with whom she enjoyed many years of vacationing in Aruba and other exotic locations. Together they bred and raced Standardbred horses at Saratoga Raceway. Irene loved cooking for her family and always had music playing in her home. There was a special place in her heart for her many furry friends. She took great pride in working for Miracle Ear corporation as a customer service representative for more than 20 years. Survivors include her three children Dale (Kathleen) Kane of Saratoga Springs, NY; Kathleen (Douglas) Fischer of Saranac Lake, NY; Michael (Colleen) Glassman of Youngsville, NC; and seven grandchildren, Ryan Kane, Leslie Dushensky, Michael and Kyle Glassman, and Dustin, Macy and Ryley Fischer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and was predeceased by her parents Irene and James White and her brother Victor J. White. Irene was a devotee of Saint Therese Catholic Church in Gansevoort, NY and had many friends there and in the community. Catholic Funeral Service will be held at 11 am on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Saint Therese Catholic Church in Gansevoort. Burial will immediately follow at Greenridge Cemetery in Saratoga Springs. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Irene's name to the Alzheimer's Association at alsfdn/research. Arrangements by the Wilton Funeral Home.
