Dateline: Ballston Spa, NY Name of Deceased: James W. Manzer Age: 84 James died at Saratoga Hospital on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. He was born in Ballston Spa, NY. He was the son of the late James and Lottie Manzer. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked for the former Ballston Knitting Mill, Ballston Spa. James worked as a maintenance worker as well as a bus driver for the Ballston Spa Central School District. He spent many days doing yard work and loved watching TV. He loved spending time with his grandchildren talking about all the things he had done in his life. He was predeceased by his wife Lucille M. Manzer who died on January 13, 2014 and his sister Velma Scanlon James is survived by his children Debra MacDonald, James W. Manzer, Jr, Gail (William) McDowell, and Elmer Manzer, his brother Bruce Manzer, 8 Grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren. Calling hours will be Monday, May 21, 2018 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Mevec Funeral Home, 224 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa, NY. Committal service with full military honors will be on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 11:30 am at Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville.
