Obituary of Janet Canham

Ballston Spa, NY Janet Canham died Sunday March 4th at Saratoga Hospital after a brief stay. She was born on March 1, 1938 in Queens New York. Janet graduated from State University Teachers College at Oneonta, New York. She married Hugh Canham in 1963. They lived in the Town of Salina for 50 years, moving to Ballston Spa in June of 2017 to be closer to family. Janet worked briefly as a Library Aide in Liverpool Central School District. Her life was centered around her family. She loved having all the children around and maintaining her home was her passion. Janet was active in church and organizations in which the children participated. Janet is survived by her husband Hugh, her children Laura Lunde, Christine Leon, Robert Canham, her six loving grandchildren Ian Lunde, Colin Lunde, Haley Canham, Christian Canham, Kyra Leon, Trystan Leon. Memorial Service will be held at Pitcher Hill Community Church, 605 Bailey Road, North Syracuse on Saturday March 10th at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Pitcher Hill Community Church or Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St, Saratoga Springs NY.
