Virginia Martha Verrigni (Gates) - Past away peacefully Jan 15, 2017, in Scotia NY.

Virginia was born August 30, 1922. She was the daughter of the late George T & Martha Barbara (Ogden) Gates.

Virginia graduated from Emma Willard School in Troy, NY. She pursued a career at General Electric as an Executive Secretary. During World War II, She was very active in the War Bond effort

In 1946 she met Anthony S Verrigni & they were wed October of 1949, and moved to Ballston Spa NY.

Virginia is predeceased by her husband of 48 years Anthony. Virginia was a devoted wife & mother, always ready to help both family & friends. She was known by all for her sewing, knitting & crocheting; her hospitably & warmth welcomed guests to her table. She supported many causes such as Humane Society, Red Cross, Catholic Charities & the St Josephs Lakota School for Children. As a parent, she was active in fund raising to help build St. Mary's School in Ballston Spa NY. Virginia was also a donor to the museum at Fundy National Provincial Park, Canada.

Virginia was a Daughter of the American Revolution & a member of the Blue Star Mothers of America. She was a communicant of St Mary's Church in Ballston Spa NY

Virginia is survived by her 3 children Stephen Verrigni (Sandra), Anthony Verrigni Jr. (Gail), Martha V Marinucci (David), 8 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, 4 Nieces Shelia, Lee, Joanne & Alexandra along with several great nieces & nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 9:30 am at St. Mary's Church, 167 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa.

Committal service will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
