Obituary of Laura J. Davenport

Dateline: Ballston Spa, NY Laura Davenport, Age 60, passed away on the morning of Saturday, July 16, 2016. Born in Beaufort, SC, she was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Shirley Simoneau. Laura was the proprietor of Graystone Manor English Springer Spaniels, based in Ballston Spa, NY. She had been a dedicated dog breeder for 35 years. Laura spent much of her time with her dogs and horses, trail riding with her daughter and granddaughter, and at her home away from home on Lake Sunapee in New Hampshire. She was a woman with a big heart, who loved her family and lived for her grandchildren. Laura is survived by her husband of 35 years, David Davenport, daughter Bethany Madden (Shane Madden) of Corinth, son Scott Davenport of Ballston Spa, grandchildren Cally Davenport and Jackson Madden, and her brother Brian Simoneau who resides in New Hampshire. A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, July 27th at Saratoga Spa State Park.
