Bill passed away at home on Monday, December 14, 2015.

He was born in Staten Island, NY. He was the son of the late William H. and Ruth Balzerini Kolberg.

Bill served in the U.S. Navy.

After 35 years he retired as a Letter Carrier for the U.S. Post Office, Saratoga Springs, NY

He worked for Command Security for last 15 years.

Bill loved to roller skate, bowl, dance and went to the YMCA every day.

Bill's biggest joy was going outside to play with the grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife Margaret Ann Kolberg who passed away on May 31, 2002 and special friend, Joy Fitzgerald.

Survivors include his children John (Patricia) Kolberg, Margaret Ann (Bruce) Hicks-Krawec, Deborah A. Christopher, his sister Diane Chaipperini, his grandchildren, Anthony Lennox, Cecil Hicks, Jr, Lindsey Gauthier, Nicole Glover, Derek Kolberg, his 8 great grandchildren, 3 nieces and 2 nephews.

Services will be on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 10:30 am at Mevec Funeral Home, 224 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am at St. Mary's Church, 167 Milton Avenue.

Committal service with full military honors will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Thursday, December 17 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Mevec Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Mary's School, 40 Thompson Street, Ballston Spa, NY 12020.
