Angelo died at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady on Friday, August 14, 2009.
He was born in Schenectady, NY. He was the son of the late Anthony J. and Mary L. Caruso DiDonna.
He graduated from Nott Terrace High School Class of 1952. He was a member of the schools track and wrestling team
He also served in the Army during the Korean War.
Angelo graduated from Simmons School of Embalming and Mortuary Science in Syracuse, NY in 1960.
He was a Truck Driver for General Dynamics, Groton, CT
Angelo was a member of Teamster Union Local 294 and the Amsterdam Elks Lodge,
He was former partner in DiDonna's Restaurant and Marina on Saratoga Lake
He was predeceased by his wife Gloria DiDonna.
Survivors include his son: Anthony J. DiDonna of Saratoga Springs, NY; his Step daughters, Shirley Boatwright of Coeur d`alene Idaho; Wanda Fournier of Spannay, WA and Joan Campbell of CA; his brothers: August C. DiDonna of Ballston Spa, NY, Anthony J. DiDonna of Murrells Inlet, SC, Joseph J. DiDonna of Saratoga Lake, NY; his grandson, Logan DiDonna; several nieces and nephews and cousins,
His special friends Ralph Nocera; Lenny Riccardi; Dick Koretniki
Services will be on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 8:30 am at Mevec Funeral Home Inc., 224 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am at St. Mary's Church, 167 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa.
Committal service with full military honors will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glenville
Calling hours will be Monday, August 17 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Mevec Funeral Home
