Wilton, NY Josephine Lois Madigan passed away on February 27, 2015 after a brief illness. She was 95 years and 5 months old. Lois was a mother, jeweler, gourmet cook, and vision training optometric assistant. She was an avid reader, gardener and knitter. Her jewelry was displayed in the Munson-Williams-Proctor Institute in Utica. She won an award from the Cooperstown Art Association, as well as many blue ribbons from county fairs for her exceptional needlework. She is most noted for her vast array of custom made dolls and teddy bears that she sold for many years. She is survived by her son Peter and his wife Denise, her daughter Ellen Ingersoll, and many grand and great-grandchildren. Her generosity and kindness were an example to all who knew her. Her wishes were for a private family service as she wanted those who knew her to celebrate her life.
