Obituary of Barbara A. Turon

Ballston Spa, NY Barbara A. Turon 92 Barbara died at Capstone Nursing Home in Amsterdam on Tuesday, February 24, 2015. She was born in Cortland, NY. She was the daughter of the late Harold P. and Camilla Skinner Smith. Barbara was a member of the Ballston Area Senior Citizens, the Ballston Spa Canasta Club and The Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Ballston Spa and a member of Catholic Daughters of America. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley Turon who died on March 22, 2005, her brother, Stuart Smith and her sister, Beverly Smith. Survivors include her children Anthony (Susan) Turon of North Syracuse, NY, Sophie Turon of Bozeman, Montana, Michael (Linda) Turon of Oxnard, CA, Cecilia (Frank) Shuster of Amsterdam, Joseph (Patti) Turon of Ballston Spa, Stephen (Diane Johnpeer) Turon of Wilton, NY, her grandchildren Stanley, Mark and Michael DeLong, Michelle Kilic, Michael Turon II and Raymond Turon, Jacqueline Arsenault, Gregory Shuster, Benjamin and Katilee Turon, Andrew, Daniel, Sarah Turon, her great grandchildren Asia Turon, Rachel, Emma, Anna Arsenault, Reese DeLong, Vincent Turon and several nieces and nephews. Services will be on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 8:30 am at Mevec Funeral Home, 224 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am at St. Mary's Church, 167 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa. Committal service will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery Saratoga Springs. Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 3 from 4:00 to 9:00 PM at Mevec Funeral Home, 224 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa.
