Obituary of James J. Bailie, Sr.

Galway, NY James J. Bailie Sr. 65 James died at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam on Friday, March 21, 2014. He was born in Cohoes, NY. He was the son of the late Earl and Marguerite Corbeil Bailie. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked as an Assembler at General Electric Company, Schenectady. Jim also owned Realty World, J.J. Associates in Clifton Park and Tri Yellow taxi in Galway, NY. James was a member of Galway Lions Club. Survivors include his wife of 28 years Jill Peltier Bailie, his sons: James J. Baillie, Jr (Stuart Sigman) of Burbank, CA, Peter D. Bailie (Erica Watson) of Schenectady, his daughter: Rebecca Allmond, his brothers: Earl F. Bailie, Jr and Roger J. (Lori) Bailie; he is also survived by his cats Samantha and Thumper. Services will be on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 11:00 am at Mevec Funeral Home, 224 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa. Committal service with full military honors will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, March 24 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mevec Funeral Home.
