William worked as an Air Traffic Controller for 36 years atAlbanyCountyAirport,Albany,NY. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Ballston Spa. He taught religious education at St. Mary's School William was a Deacon for the Albany Roman Catholic Diocese for 20 years, He was known for the Blessing of the Animals inCongressPark,Saratoga SpringHe was Member of the former Knights of Columbus, Ballston Spa He was active member of Scouting for 50 years.William was theVillageofBallston Spa Santa Clausfor many years. He was predeceased by his wife of 52 years Anna May Hewitt who died onMarch 12, 1997, his son Edward Hewitt and his brother, Edward G. Hewitt. Hewitt, III; Michael J.
