Obituary of Lena H. Ardizzone

Clay, NY Lena H. Ardizzone 98 Lena died at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse on Monday, February 13, 2012. She was born in Mt. Carmel, PA. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Philomena Artobelli Mosillo. Lena loved to bake cakes and pies She was an avid bingo player, playing on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturdays. She was predeceased by her husband Frank P. Ardizzone who died on February 15, 1975 and her son, Joseph A. Ardizzone who died February 21, 2007, her sisters, Elizabeth Pennacchia, Gertrude DelGiorno, Lydia Monti and Josephine DeCherico, her brother, Vincent Musilli, and twin brother, Michael Masselle. Survivors include her daughter: Mary Ann (William) Mevec of Ballston Spa, NY, her sister: Angie Mastriano of Syracuse. Her Grandchildren, Mary Ann (Kevin) Ryan, William J. Mevec, Jr, John Mevec all of Ballston Spa, NY; and Paul (Edith) Mevec of Dhahran, Saudi Arabia; Anthony "AJ" (Alysha) Ardizzone Bree-Anne Ardizzone both of Clay; great granddaughters, Christina; Amanda; Madeline and Abigail Mevec, daughter-in-law, Candace Ardizzone of Clay, several nieces and nephews and special friend, Lena Marotta. Services will be on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 9:00 am at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Pompei Church, 301 Ash Street, Syracuse. Committal service will follow at Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse Calling hours will be Thursday, February 16 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse.
