Ballston Spa, NY Ronald B. Westfall 78 Ron passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. He was a lifelong resident of Ballston Spa, NY. He was the son of the late Merritt O. and Loretta Brown Westfall. Ron was a meat cutter for A&P and Price Chopper Supermarkets and while serving in the U.S. Army. He was predeceased by his wife Kathleen Rhodes Westfall who died on November 13, 2003. Survivors include his daughters: Holly (Warren) Zapp of Porter Corners, Melanie (Timothy) Brown of Ballston Spa, Shayla (Michael) Schott of Thornwood, NY, Erin (Donald) Powers of Ballston Spa, his brother: Merritt Richard Westfall of Ballston Spa, his sister Leanne C. Alberts of Herkimer, NY and his grandchildren Abigail Zapp, Gabriel Brown, Bethany Zapp, Jared Brown and Hailey Schott. Services will be on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 10:00 am at Mevec Funeral Home, 224 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa. Committal service with full military honors will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Saratoga Springs Calling hours will be Friday, November 8 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Mevec Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association of Northeastern New York Chapter, 4 Pine West Plaza, Suite 405, Albany, NY 12205.
