Sandra M Prediger, (86), of Gansevoort, NY, passed away surrounded by her children at home on July 22, 2026. She was the loving wife of 65 years to her deceased husband, Arthur, and the loving mother to her four children. Sandra, fondly known as Sandy, was born to Albert & Marion (Lester) Hoffman of Troy, NY on July 5, 1940.

Sandy was an optimistic, energetic, and athletic social butterfly who thrived on being everyone's cheerleader. In her youth, she was an aspiring dancer: a talent that truly drove her strength in body and spirit, her gentle, artistic and creative soul, and her thought-filled kindness in heart: she was the light in our family, even on the darkest days. Sandy was an incredibly organized and revered manager in business and in life. She was the one who remembered everything, the one that everyone counted on, and the one who knew which problems needed solving and which just needed company. Her greatest joy and pride in life was in her motherhood: her love was the foundation on which her children built their lives, and a true testament that a mother holds her children's hands for a while and their hearts forever.

Sandy's kindness in heart, strength in spirit, and gentleness in soul is carried on in her four children: Mark Prediger, Lynne Douglas, Carolyn Prediger, and Arthur Prediger; her four grandchildren William Douglas, Daniel Douglas, Mark Prediger, Michael Prediger, as well as eight great-grandchildren: all that we are, and hope to be, we owe to our mother. Sandy taught us love, courage, and joy; and her light continues to guide us. Preceding her in peace were her husband, Arthur; parents, Albert and Marion, and her sister Carol.

To honor Sandy's memory, a memorial service will be held at Saratoga National Cemetery on July 31, 2026, at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Capital City Rescue Mission, Albany, NY 12202 and Community Hospice Saratoga/Washington in memory of Sandy's name.
