George Hannah
George Hannah, of Ballston Spa, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 16, 2026.
Born in 1940, George was the son of the late George and Anna Hannah.
George proudly served in the United States Army and later in the National Guard. He was also a respected real estate property owner and the proud owner of Anna's Flowers. Known for his strong work ethic, generosity, and dedication to the Ballston Spa community, George built many lasting friendships throughout the years.
George shared 45 loving years of marriage with his wife, Carolyn Hannah, longtime owner of Ms. Carol's Salon, a local Ballston Spa hair salon.
George loved the stock market, card games especially pinochle, golfing as a longtime member of Ballston Spa Country Club, and spending time with his family at their vacation home in Florida.
In addition to his wife Carolyn, he is survived by his son Michael Hannah and wife, Cathy; his son George Hannah Jr. and wife, Amanda; and his daughter, Gina McCarthy, and husband, Michael.
He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Isaiah, Brinley, Christopher, and Michael.
George will be deeply missed by his family, friends, customers, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Calling Hours will be on Tuesday May 26, 2026 at Mevec Funeral Home, 224 Milton Avenue,
Ballston Spa from 4 to 7PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday May 27, 2026 at St. Mary's Church,167 Milton Avenue, at 9:00 AM.
Burial with Military Honors will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or St. Mary's School in Ballston Spa.
