Rose died Friday, October 2, 2009 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Ballston Spa, NY. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Antonetta Falciano Pastore.
She was a graduate of Albany Teachers College and taught for many years at St. Mary's School, Ballston Spa. Rose never forgot a student and took great pleasure in their accomplishments.
She was a Communicant of St. Mary's Church, and a member of the Ballston Spa Senior Citizens.
Rose was an avid reader with a passion for science, and an accomplished seamstress. She also enjoyed traveling with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband Sylvio Miranda who died October 18, 1974 and her brother, Dr. Lucien Pastore.
Survivors include her daughters: Nanette Miranda of Rio Rico, AZ, Irene (Michael) Palma of Saratoga Springs, Dolores(Mark) Bailey of Norwell, MA, Julie (Scott) Johnson of Saratoga Springs, her sisters: Theresa Miranda, Florence Fountaine, Irene Schallehn and her brother: Paul Pastore all of Ballston Spa.
She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at 8:30 am at Mevec Funeral Home, 224 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am at St. Mary's Church, 167 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa.
Committal service will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, October 6 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Mevec Funeral Home, 224 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa,
