Obituary of William H. Connor

Ballston Spa, NY William H. Connor, Jr. 92 Bill died at Saratoga Hospital on Tuesday, May 3, 2011. He was born in San Francisco, CA. He was the son of the late William H. and Elsie Dahms Connor, Sr. Bill was a Chief Deputy Sheriff for Saratoga County Sheriff's Department He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Bill was a member of the American Legion Post 234, Ballston Spa Masons, Patron of Eastern Star, Saratoga Lodge, Oriental Shriners and the Ballston Spa Elks Lodge. He was past District Deputy for The Knights of Pithias. Bill served on the Town of Milton Town Council and as Town Justice for 20 Years He worked for American Locomotive for 20 years. He was predeceased by his brothers Henry, Theodore and Raymond Connor Survivors include his wife Jean Connor, his sisters: Marjorie Escher of Jupiter, FL, Elsie Kissel of Melbourne, FL, Viola Halberstadt of St. Altos, CA, Alice Pivacek of Santa Clara, CA; His stepchildren, Carolyn J. Della Porta of Ballston Spa, his devoted care giver through his ailing years, Robert Bloodgood of Pinehurst, NC; and Cheryl Sharadin of Ballston Spa. Bill was blessed with a special nephew "Buddy" Escher who was always there when he needed anything and other nieces and nephews. Bill always enjoyed his step grandchildren especially Jamie. They will miss him. Family and friends will meet on Monday, May 23, 2011 at 1:15 PM for committal service with full military honors at 1:30 pm at Gerald B.H.
