Bertha died at Saratoga Hospital in Saratoga Springs on Sunday, December 27, 2009 after a long illness.
She was born in Brunswick, NY. She was the daughter of the late Raymond L. and Hazel Peckham Wagar
Bertha moved to Gansevoort in 1982.
Throughout her years she enjoyed traveling, gardening, playing cards and dice with family and friends
She was predeceased by her husband Samuel Kaschak who died on July 25, 1971 her brothers Ken, Floyd and John Wagar, and nephew Robert D. Wagar.
Survivors include her daughters: Joann (Jeffrey) Lathrop of Greenwich, Anna (Charlie) Voland of Gansevoort, Karen (Morgan) Filkins of Gansevoort, Six sisters and Two brothers
Her granddaughter, Angela Salvi; her grandsons, Robert Bulson; Brian Bulson; Michael Bulson; Jason Voland; Sam Salvi; several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews
