Dateline: Edinburg, NY Franklin J. Kalteux, Jr 83 Franklin died at home with his family by his side on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. He was born in Schenectady, NY. He was the son of the late Franklin J. and Lillian Lohner Kalteux. He served in the Marine Corps from 1951-1955 during the Korean War. Franklin was a member of American Legion Post 0337 Broadalbin, Bleeker Fish and Game Club, Hadley, Life Member South Miami/Coral Gables 1676 Elks, Loyal Order of Moose, Key Largo, FL, National Rifle Association and V. F. W. Post 5836, Hadley. He was Proprietor of Placid Pines Tavern, Edinburg, NY Frank was a Deputy Sherriff in Miami Dade County He was owner of Kalteux Roofing in South Miami. Frank was the last surviving past officer of Tropic Atlantic Shores Housing Developement He was predeceased by his son, Franklin J. Kalteux, 3rd Survivors include his wife Susan Gray Kalteux who he married on January 22, 1988, his daughter: Kimberly Kalteux of Schenectady, His step sons David Cameron of Schenectady and Kenneth Cameron of Edinburg, his step grandchildren, Shaun Cameron and Samson Cameron; his cousin, Betty Ann (John) Callahan of NH. Private services will be at Saratoga National Cemetery.
