JAKOB J. ASSMANN Brant Lake, NY Jakob J. Assmann 75 Jakob died at home with his family on Saturday, January 10, 2009. He was born on April 25, 1933. He was the son of the late Johann and Alexandria Boltz Assmann. Jakob was proprietor of Jack's Foreign Car Repair, Burnt Hills, NY retiring in 1994. Jakob has spent the last fifteen years hiking and biking the mountains that he loved so well. He was predeceased by a brother, Johann Assmann, his sisters, Rosa Trickett, Hilda Siddell and his son, Christopher Michael Assmann. Survivors include his wife Ruth Ann Assmann of Brant Lake, his sons: Andre` Jakob Assmann of Scotia and Jeffrey Jay Assmann of Glenvillle, his daughter: Theresa M. Reckner of Ballston Lake, four sisters: Margaret Assmann, Maria Boettcher, Waltraut Schuck, Lieselotte Dorvee and a brother: Manfred Assmann and his 7 grandchildren. Services will be on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 9:30 am at Mevec Funeral Home, 224 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Church, 167 Milton Avenue Committal service will be in the spring at Factory Village Cemetery, Town of Milton, NY Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 13 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Mevec Funeral Home The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 .
