Philip died at Kindred Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida on Friday, June 18, 2010.
He was born in New York, NY. He was the son of the late Earl and Lena Bartholemew Lomax.
He was a Supervisor at New York State Division of Fire Safety, Albany, NY.
He also served in the Navy during World War II.
Philip was Past Chief of the Becraft Fire Department, Greenport, NY and a member of the V. F. W. in Glenville.
He was predeceased by his brother, James Lomax and his wife Shirley Lomax who died May 15, 2008.
Survivors include his daughters: Susan (Phillips) Ferry of Johnstown, Phyllis (William) Kelly of St. Petersburg Beach, FL, Linda (Joseph) Delaney of Burnt Hills, Nancy Hickok ( John) of Clifton Park, his sister: Francis Morrissey of Poughkeepsie, NY; his Grandchildren Pamela, Sandra, Rebecca, Allisha, Sarah, Rory and Matthew, his great grandchildren Nicholas and Vincent.
Calling hours will be Friday, June 25, 2010 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Mevec Funeral Home, 224 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa, NY.
Memorial Mass will be on Monday, June 28, 2010 at 11:00 am at Calvary Episcopal Church, 85 Lake Hill Road, Burnt Hills.
Committal service with full military honors will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery.
