Paul E. Robens 77 Paul died on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia Flagler, Orange City, Florida. He was born in Troy, NY. He was the son of the late John E. and Marguerite Bouchard Robens. He worked as a Machinist for General Foods, Saratoga Springs retiring in 1993 He also served in the Air Force during the Korean War. Paul was a member and Past Commander of American Legion Post #234, Ballston Spa, 4th Degree member of Knights of Columbus Council #246, Saratoga Springs and was an usher at St. Mary's Church, Ballston Spa. Paul also was past Commissioner and Trainer for Ballston Spa Pop Warner and was an active member of Community Emergency Corps during the 1970's. Paul was an avid family man, who loved and cherished his family. He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was fortunate enough to see his great grandson born. He enjoyed his retirement and spending winters in Florida. He was loved and will be missed dearly. He was predeceased by his son, John E. Robens, his sister Rose Ryan, his brothers: John Robens and Harry Robens; his half sisters, Blanche Keegan and Lula Robens, Survivors include his wife of 54 years Catherine "Dolly" Robens, his sons: Paul J. (Jamie) Robens, Carl (Janet) Robens, Frank (Bonny) Robens; his sister Jean Grondoni His 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandson Services will be on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 8:30 am at Mevec Funeral Home, 224 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am at St. Mary's Church, 167 Milton Avenue. Committal service with full military honors will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, February 25 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Mevec Funeral Home During which the Knights of Columbus will conduct fraternal services at 7:00 PM and the American Legion at 7:30 The family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Road, Loudonville, NY 12211 For directions or to light a candle, visit us at www.mevecfuneralhome.com.
